Bob Puru- Owner
(The Boy)
Bob is a qualified Shimano mechanic and avid cyclist.
He has been cycling competitively for many years and has
won many road titles. Highlights of his cycling career
has been winning the New Zealand Time Trial Champs
in 2011 & 2012. Bob gets a lot of satisfaction in passing
on his knowledge to riders, coaching/mentoring several young
riders and helping several triathletes with their
cycling discipline. His one dream was to own a bike shop.
Bob is now living his dream, and working in
his playground.

Tim Ellis - Cycle Mechanic
(The Workshop Boss)
Tim is a well qualified mechanic. He knows the ins and outs of
everything bike. He is most at home on a mountain bike
and loves downhill. Tim also enjoys getting his hands
grubby in the workshop. He is a little shy with
people, but once you get to know him, he is a great guy.
Your bikes are in safe hands with Tim in the workshop.

Hayley Gedge - Cycle Mechanic (trainee)
(Tim's helper) Hayley is the newest member of our Team at Bob's Bikes. She comes from a BMX background and has a passion for bikes. Hayley loves racing and has several titles to her credit. Come in and meet Hayley. She enjoys getting her hands dirty and would love to fix your bike. |
Robyn Puru - Part timer
(The Boss)
Robyn is co-owner with husband Bob. She does all the
behind the scenes stuff for the shop. A lady of many skills.
Robyn also enjoys taking photos at
events and gets a lot of pleasure out of sharing the
photos. Robyn has over the years done many
years of riding, mostly as a recreational rider
and rides a tandem with Bob. You can
still occasionally see her out on a bike.
